Eugene Correa
Eugene Correa has a background in Martial arts from as early as 9 years old. Growing up in a group home at age 9 attended in Kenpo karate a bit but due to a wrestling match broke and snapped his right elbow in two pieces the doctor and SURGEON recommended he stopped combat sports and never try sports that can re fracture it due to this happening and a lawsuit threat he was returned to his mother at 11 then sent to jalisco mexico at 12. at age 15 he returned to combat sports & trained under master oumry at the legendary long beach kickboxing center on and off as well & American kickboxing under black belt Sayla Paul Hoch & David Cooper’s gym Kickblast Long Beach until age 18.
correa has worked with elite Striking coaches some to name are jorge from hill street boxing to chute boxe, kun khemer, bodyshop and has participated in several seminars as well trained under olympians like rico chappareli and currently now prodigy coache’s carlos torres (RIP) one and only best student jesse doyle a high level wrestler head coach at OCRTC helping him win his last few win streak fights at expert pro level.
Correa has worked with elite Striking coaches some to name are jorge from hill street boxing, bodyshop and has participated in several seminars as well trained under wrestling olympian “rico chappareli” at his time living in Santa Monica as well has had a camp in Europe Matator, Spain for a cancelled match up back in 2015. To currently some private training with Jon chow (10th planet orange). and High level well rounded training partner ex Glory-multi time amateur champ contender Lance Dixon, the last current years.
He also trained GI jiu jitsu from the jiu jitsu league with Kevin Howell 2011’ to Cleber Lucianos Academy in Chute Boxe but it wasn't until he met Rick Marshall who was a 10th planet blackbelt teaching no GI jiu jitsu to the MMA guys in chute boxe, that he fell in love with no GI back in 2014.
Technically there wasn't a 10th planet academy officially opened in Long Beach but it was at the 10th Planet school under construction that Correa met Felix Carrada, an Eddie Bravo blackbelt. Carrada then sponsored and trained Correa for 2 years in 2015. It was through Carrada that Correa was introduced to Chai Sirisute Jr., son of Master Ajarn Chai Sirisute founder of Muay Thai in USA. Correa trained under Chai Sirisute and when 10th Planet Long Beach school officially opened, Correa coached MMA there while learning jiu jitsu. He received his blue belt for dedicating/competing another 2-3 years of the no GI jiu jitsu art strictly combining 4-5 years of no GI experience and 2-3 of GI/MMA prior to 10th planet, making it an overall 12-13 years of training/competing mixed martial arts.
Eugene got signed by the worlds 2nd biggest MMA promotion Bellator thanks to former bellator light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newtown that introduced him to his new head MMA coach and UFC legend Antonio McKee back in 2015 as well. Training under McKee’s submission grappling system “Bodyshop MMA” with wrestling Correa improved his grappling and MMA all around. Correa has become a jiu jitsu champion in different promotions. Eugene currently competes still at the moment at a professional level and hopes to pass on some of his skills of "survival" in real life scenarios for authentic self defense Mixed martial arts.
Correa has been in camps in Spain Mexico and several residing around California tuczon arizona etc… at the highest level & hopes to pass on some knowledge i’m a fun and safest way to build your confidence and any health problem from cardiovascular to mental health.
